Tijuana city crews have collected more than 60 tons of bulky trash and construction debris from neighborhoods across two eastern delegations, part of the city’s ongoing Tijuana Clean City initiative.

The cleanup effort began in the Villas del Prado neighborhood, where crews removed more than 40 tons of waste from an alley along Agave Street, benefiting an estimated 4,500 residents.

A second operation took place on Ruta Hidalgo Street in the Mariano Matamoros area. There, crews collected an additional 20 tons of debris, cleaned out a storm drain to remove sediment buildup, and cleared sidewalks to improve safety and traffic flow for more than 5,000 residents.

The work was overseen by Adriana Barrera Hernández, acting head of Delegations Coordination, along with Joaquín Sandoval Chávez, delegate for La Presa Este, and Gabriela Ponce, acting head of La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez.
