Tijuana Enhances Public Infrastructure

With an investment of 4.55 million pesos, the local government has begun paving work to benefit the community.

The administration of Tijuana Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz has begun asphalt paving work on Barburias del Mar Street in the Los Ángeles neighborhood, covering an area of 4,000 square meters. With an investment of 4.55 million pesos, the project is expected to benefit more than 4,200 residents of Tijuana.

Virginia Vargas González, Secretary of Territorial, Urban, and Environmental Development, and Adriana Barrera Hernández, Acting Head of Delegation Coordination, officially launched the paving project, which is funded through the Federal Government’s Foreign Used Vehicle Regularization Program.

As part of the “Tijuana Clean City” program, crews completed improvement work on Guadalquivir and Huesca Streets in the Riveras del Álamo neighborhood. The work included cleaning and grading over 1,500 square meters of roadway and installing school zone signage, benefiting more than 3,000 residents, including students and teachers.

In the 18 de Marzo neighborhood, similar efforts were carried out on Ferrocarril Avenue, where crews cleaned, leveled, and graded 920 square meters and removed trash and debris from the roads.

Local Deputy Gloria Miramontes was present to observe the work being carried out in the La Mesa delegation, reaffirming her support for the initiatives led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana in the city’s neighborhoods.

On Wednesday, progress was overseen by Delegates Claudia Casas Valdés (Otay Centenario) and Bianka Najar Soto (La Mesa), as part of efforts to promote urban development and reclaim public spaces, strengthening community progress.
