The City Hall led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana is carrying out nighttime operations to ensure bars, restaurants, pool halls, and entertainment venues do not allow minors to enter to prevent underage drinking.

José Antonio Olivas Heredia, Director of Municipal Inspection and Verification Department, reported that during the most recent weekend operation—from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8—80 establishments were inspected to verify compliance with regulations designed to protect minors.
