Tijuana is the municipality with the most homicides in the country

During the daily morning press conference led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, it was reported that in the last month the homicide rate in the country has increased, giving a total, so far this year, of 29 thousand 182 homicides compared to last year's 28 thousand 855.

He also presented a graph where you can see that among the 2 thousand 465 municipalities, 15 concentrate 28.7% of the homicides. In first place is Tijuana, our city that has accumulated one thousand 513 homicides, according to data from the Department of Public Safety and Protection (SSPC).

But it is not the only place in Baja California that appears in the 15 states, Ensenada also appeared, in the 13th place with more than 270 murders. In addition to the above, there are also places like Juárez, Chihuahua and León Guanajuato, in second and third place respectively.

In total, these 15 municipalities represent a third of all accumulated murders, 6 thousand 968. These entities are: Tijuana, León and Celaya in Guanajuato, Sinaloa, Cajeme, Zamora, Guadalajara, Acapulco, Chihuahua. Benito Juárez, Ensenada, Salamanca and Morelia.
