The Tijuana government has launched an open call for experts, academics, and community leaders to contribute to the next edition of its flagship publication, “Tijuana ¿Cómo Estamos?” (Tijuana, How Are We Doing?). The 2026 report aims to provide a comprehensive, data-driven snapshot of the city’s progress across social, economic, urban, and environmental sectors.

The initiative, coordinated by the Metropolitan Planning Institute (IMPLAN), was formally announced at the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO). The event brought together representatives from universities, business groups, civil associations, and the private sector, inviting them to join a collective analysis of the city’s trajectory.

“An honest, transparent, and accountable government is what Mayor Ismael Burgueño is promoting. By socializing this magazine, we can ensure that, through collaboration between government and society, we continue to document Tijuana’s evolution,” said Juan Diego Mascareño López, Executive Director of IMPLAN.

The magazine is structured around key themes from Tijuana’s 2025–2027 Municipal Development Plan. It features curated public data, indicators, maps, and infographics that reflect the city’s current conditions and trends.

Individuals and organizations interested in contributing research, analysis, or commentary for the 2026 edition must submit a letter of intent to IMPLAN by December 30. Submissions should outline the contributor’s interest, relevant experience, and contact details.

Letters can be sent via email to jrsalas@implantijuana.gob.mx, delivered in person to IMPLAN’s offices at Calle Canadá No. 7171, Zona Río Tercera Etapa, or submitted digitally through the official portal: https://gemelodigital.implantijuana.gob.mx/convocatoria.

The call reinforces the city’s commitment to participatory governance and evidence-based planning as Tijuana continues to grow and transform.
