Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana has announced a plan to allocate over 60 million pesos to modernize and rehabilitate the La Presa Transfer Center. The project, aimed at strengthening the city’s public services backbone, will include comprehensive upgrades to the facility where 179 sanitation workers operate.

During a visit to the center, the mayor explained that the investment will fund the remodeling of offices, restrooms, platforms, and hoppers. The plans also include the construction of a new dining hall and work booths, significantly improving the working conditions for the staff.

“I want to acknowledge the work of the Secretary of the Bureaucrats’ Union, Guillermo Aldrete Casarín. You have a great representative. We are holding working meetings to improve your labor conditions, and we are working to provide more manpower, equipment, and tools to make your jobs easier for the benefit of the public,” Mayor Burgueño said.
