Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana officially launched the resurfacing of Paseo del Bosque Street in the Residencial del Bosque neighborhood, fulfilling a promise made to local residents. The project represents an investment of 14,326,782 pesos.
“We are making history in the La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez delegation because, for several years, Paseo del Bosque Street—a major road—had not received any maintenance. I promised that we would fully rehabilitate it, and today we are making that promise a reality,” the mayor said.

The project, which includes resurfacing over 34,833 square meters of road, will directly benefit approximately 12,000 residents who use this route daily.
Community leader Claudia Enríquez thanked Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana for addressing a request that previous administrations had neglected for years.
“We are very happy and want to thank the mayor for doing what no one else had done for us,” she said.

Meanwhile, Virginia Vargas González, Secretary of Territorial, Urban, and Environmental Development, stated that these improvements aim to enhance mobility and safety for pedestrians and commuters, as this road is the main access point to the neighborhood.
Vargas González urged Tijuana residents to plan ahead to avoid delays during ongoing work on this main road. The project is expected to take approximately 90 days to complete.
The government of Tijuana also called on citizens to respect construction signals indicating the start and end of work zones, and to drive carefully to prevent accidents that could endanger their safety and property.
This event was attended by Councilmember Magaly Ronquillo Palacios; Councilmember Arturo Aguirre; Gabriela Ponce, acting head of La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez Delegation; Adriana Barrera Hernández, acting head of the Delegation Coordination Office; as well as benefited residents.
