In the COVID-19 cases update, given every morning by the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, it was reported this Friday, September 11, that the state increased its active cases to 642, which are the ones that give strength to the pandemic.

According to Perez Rico, Tijuana is the municipality that registers most of these cases at the state level, which until today are on the rise after adding 275 of the total.

He also mentioned that Ensenada is another municipality that really worries authorities because the incidence rate is higher there than in Tijuana.

"The municipality that we have to take care of the most right now is Ensenada, with 133 cases. In total numbers it is Tijuana, it is close to 300 active cases, but the incidence rates in Tijuana are among the lowest we have in the state because of its population," explained the Secretary of Health.

In the case of people confirmed with COVID-19 in the territory, there are 18 thousand 136, of which a large part belong to Mexicali, but Tijuana is the municipality where most new cases were reported (78) in one day.

Despite the fact that the border city ranks second in the state in terms of the number of deaths, with one thousand 329 out of 3 thousand 270 in the region, it was also the municipality that reported 6 new deaths due to this virus.

This is how the state ends the week under red light of the epidemiological traffic light chart of the coronavirus.

However, it is worth mentioning that so far there are already 10 thousand 284 Baja Californians recovered from COVID-19, of which 2 thousand 472 are Tijuana residents.
