Tijuana International Music and Dance Festival, to be held on Nov. 20 at Casa de la Cultura de Playas de Tijuana.

The Tourism Committee noted that Tijuana is recognized for its diversity and culture quality, so it is very important to support this type of events that bring together art, culture and regional cuisine in a family environment.

For its part, the General Director of the Festival, Yohanna Hassan, stressed that the event will have free admission, and will bring together artistic expressions of jewelry, painting, international Salsa champions, Polynesian Dances, Dances of the Middle East, and Tango.

"It is important to pay attention that Tijuana is booming not only locally but nationally, and also internationally, because the Hawaiian and Tahitian group just won an international award," she said.

She pointed out that there will be longtime artists such as maestro Juan Carlos Terrones in charge of the Tango, who has participated in Tijuana, San Diego and just won an award at a national level, and Saidy Montoya , exponent of Salsa and international winner. Right now she's in Utah developing this discipline.

The Revolution Band will be performing a tribute to the Beatles with musicalization and characterization, and the Johana Hassan Belly Dance Company will make a show of Middle Eastern Dances; this company is constituted by a group of girls with a career of more than 7 years in Tijuana, Valle de Guadalupe. and will traveling soon to the Rumy Awards in San Francisco, California.

"The Festival is completely free and will be developed in a family environment at Los Arcos Saloon in Casa de la Cultura de Playas de Tijuana, where people will be able to enjoy the cuisine of the region made by different chefs," concluded Yohanna Hassan.
