Health Secretary Alonso Perez Rico confirmed that Baja California is still under red light, after having 15 thousand 374 positive coronavirus cases, of which only 7 thousand 650 belong to Mexicali, a county that in 24 hours reported 27 new cases, according to Perez Rico.

Meanwhile, the rest of the confirmed cases are found around the state as follows: Tijuana with 4 thousand 594 (1 new case), Ensenada with one thousand 876, San Quintin with 396, Tecate with 381, San Felipe with 266 and Rosarito with 211.

According to the Secretary of Health, there are still 476 active COVID-19 cases in the region, with Tijuana being the county that ranks first at state level, with over 160 of these cases, surpassing Mexicali, which reports 135 active cases, occupying second place on the list.

The number of Baja California natives who have died from this virus is 2 thousand 918, of which one thousand 355 were registered in Mexicali, one thousand 198 in Tijuana, 247 in Ensenada, 89 in Tecate, 16 in Rosarito, 11 in San Quintin and 2 in San Felipe.

Perez Rico also reported that patients recovered from coronavirus in Baja California are 8 thousand 729, of which the majority are residents of Mexicali (4 thousand 999) and Tijuana (one thousand 951).
