TIJUANA. Tijuanas famous Paseo de los Héroes avenue will be the temporary home of over 400 Volkswagen buses and beetles (known in Mexico as combis and vochos, respectively) in an event organized by Baja Volks Tijuana the and Tijuana Conventions and Tourism Committee (COTUCO). The festival will have live music by local rock bands and popular groups La Sonora Dinamita and Los Cadentes de Linares.
Any car of that type can be exhibited for a $20 (or 250 Mexican pesos) fee; part of the profits will be given to the civil association Cialac, Center for Comprehensive Work Training, who are looking into acquiring a water treatment plant to cover the expenses of the youths with cognitive disabilities that receive training there.
