Fresh from their victory in the national “México Canta” (Mexico Sings) competition, Tijuana’s own Carmen María and Galia Siurob are preparing to take their success on the road. The talented vocalists have been selected for an extensive binational tour scheduled for November 2025, with performances confirmed in major venues across Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Tijuana, and Mexico City.
Their contest victory also secures them a professional national, international, or independent recording contract, to be facilitated by the Mexican Music Council. The artists confirmed they’re currently putting the finishing touches on new material, with their latest tracks scheduled for release on SoundCloud this Friday afternoon.
The “México Canta” project will also produce a live album featuring performances from the competition finals with a special edition vinyl release alongside digital formats, preserving the standout moments from the national contest.
About the “México Canta” Initiative
“México Canta” (Mexico Sings) represents a collaborative effort between Mexico’s federal government, through the Secretariat of Culture, and the Mexican Music Council. The program aims to cultivate musical narratives that celebrate traditional Mexican genres while promoting positive themes of love, cultural pride, and human experience, consciously moving away from lyrics that glorify violence.
