Tijuanense Natalia Botello won the Gold medal at the World Fencing Junior Cup in Alger, Argelia. Botello won the match against Italian Giulia Arpino in sabre fencing.
Baja California has been the fencing champion during the last years, where contestants such as Julieta Toledo and Tania Arrayales have won first place.
Natalia Botello won this Fencing Jr. Cup with 32 units, while Giulia obtained 26. Lisa Gette and Beatrice Dalla shared the third place.
Now, the Tijuanense is getting ready for the Pan American Championship of San José, Costa Rica, as well as for the World Young Championship in Verona, Italy.
