Top beers at San Diego bars

Stone Brewing is one of the most common breweries you’ll find in San Diego bars, according to data from Taphunter.



Out of the 4,500 tap handles Taphunter tracks in San Diego, 4.47 percent of them poured Stone beers over the period from Feb. 28 to March 28. Ballast Point finished second with 3.1 percent.



In Taphunter’s top ten, only Lagunitas Brewing wasn’t from San Diego, a sign of local craft beer’s control of the market.



Taphunter presents a snapshot of what you can find in beer bars, but it isn’t a complete look at every tap in the area. About 200 bars are represented, and bars that use Taphunter tend to serve a craft-beer-minded clientele.
