ENSENADA.- State's Governor, Francisco "Kiko" Vega de Lamadrid, took a tour through Maneadero's agricultural fields to check out the development opportunities that have been provided thanks to the usage of treated water in agricultural activities, an action that has created 800 jobs, which could increase up to 2,000, as a result of Ensenada's work tour.

Accompanied by local Deputy, Marco Antonio Novelo Osuna, and President of the Ejido Commissariat, Raymundo Carrillo, Vega de Lamadrid walked among the furrows in order to say hello to the laborers of two farms, who explained that they have currently cultivated around 100 acres of flowers and forage, creating 800 new employment sources.

During this visit, the State Governor received an award on behalf of the members of the Ejido Commissariat which want to show their appreciation regarding the promotion of a sustainable agriculture through the use of treated water from the El Naranjo's Water Treatment Plant, which is conducted all they way to Valle de Maneadero.

Throughout the tour, the Ejido Commissariat request the State Government intervention in order to rehabilitate a road section with asphalt which will be provided by the farmers, making access much more safer for those who travel through this route daily.
