President Donald Trump announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will be deployed to airports starting Monday to assist security personnel.
In a post on his official social media platform, Trump said the move is intended to bolster the work of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents, praising them as dedicated workers who have continued to carry out their duties despite facing numerous challenges.
Trump Criticizes Democrats
In the same message, Trump took aim at Democrats, accusing them of blocking previously agreed-upon resources and prioritizing the protection of individuals who entered the country illegally.

He also acknowledged that even as ICE carries out its work, his political opponents are likely to voice criticism.
The operation will be led by Tom Homan, whom Trump described as a key figure in carrying out the effort. The announcement comes at a time of heightened debate over security, immigration, and federal agency funding in the United States, and unfolds against the backdrop of ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
