President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States, in coordination with Israel, has attacked Iran.

In a video statement posted to his Truth Social platform, Trump detailed the scope of the military action and directly addressed the Iranian people.

“We’re going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. It will be totally again obliterated,” Trump stated.

He framed the strikes as a defensive measure, stating the goal is to “defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime. A vicious group of very hard, terrible people.”

Throughout the statement, Trump leveled harsh criticism at the Iranian leadership, accusing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s regime of waging a “campaign of bloodshed and mass murder, targeting the United States.”

Beyond the military objectives, Trump’s message contained a direct appeal for regime change. He called on Iranian citizens to rise up against the government of the ayatollahs, describing the current moment as a historic opportunity.

“When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will be probably your only chance for generations,” he said.

In a significant portion of his address, the former president also appealed directly to members of Iran’s security and military forces. He offered them a choice, promising immunity to those who abandon their posts and lay down their arms. Conversely, he warned that those who continue to fight would “face certain death.”
