The U.S. Embassy in Mexico is reminding American citizens that emergency consular assistance is available around the clock for those traveling or living in the country.
In a message shared on social media, the embassy urged U.S. nationals to seek help immediately if they face an unexpected situation, whether it involves personal safety, a medical emergency, or other urgent circumstances.
The embassy directs travelers to its website for information on finding hospitals, legal assistance, and other essential services through its consular resources page.
Emergency support is also available outside regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. U.S. citizens in Mexico can call (55) 8526 2561, while those calling from the United States can reach 1-844-528-6611.
“We are here to help you at any time,” the embassy said.
