ROSARITO.- It has been a year since the sinking of the Uribe 121 on the shores of Playas de Rosarito, which went from being known as a simple ship to become the first artificial reef of the North Pacific, which already has 70 species.



According to Frontera, the president of the B.C Reef Foundation, Francisco Ussel Heredia, said that the main objective of creating life and "becoming an artificial reef" is being fulfilled.



However, he also invited the population, companies or other services that would like to participate in this project to donate money or material for the construction of the structures that will be part of the next stages:



-Boat cemetery



-Prehispanic Atlantis



-Homage to the Titanic



-A Sculptural Garden



These are the figures of the inauguration year:



-Divers who visited it: 568



-Air tanks used so far: 2617



-Steel Plates Seeded for Study: 132



-Marine species detected in the Uribe 121: more than 70



-Programmed infrastructure investment: 150 million pesos (800,000 dlls.)
