White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Wednesday that the War Department is looking into the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran that resulted in the death of over girls, though she offered few details about the ongoing inquiry.
“We are aware of the reports and the War Department continues to investigate this matter,” Leavitt said during a press conference when questioned by a reporter.

The spokesperson emphasized that the United States does not target civilians in military operations. She pivoted to accuse the Iranian regime of responsibility for civilian deaths in the region.
She further alleged that Iran has employed propaganda to advance its narrative, claiming that some American media outlets have amplified these messages.
“I would advise them not to point the finger at the United States of America when it comes to attacking civilians, because this is not something these armed forces do,” Leavitt stated.
