The Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, informed this Tuesday, November 10, about the location of active COVID-19 cases in Baja California, an entity that totals 465 of these, 78 of which are located in Tijuana.
According to Pérez Rico, 15 neighborhoods in the border city that present a concentration of these cases were observed, among which is Zona Río, which was considered a "red light" because it registered the greatest number of active cases, and therefore where greater precautions must be taken.
This zone of Tijuana registers three active cases, while the rest of the colonies have two each, and they are as follows:
- El Refugio
- El Laure
- Paseos del Florido
- Real de San Francisco
- Villa Fontana
- Buenos Aires Sur
- Reforma
- Las Torres
- Nueva Tijuana
- Lomas Taurinas
- Libertad
- Zona Centro
- Obrera 2da Secc.
To date, Baja California has reported 122 new cases of coronavirus, 23 thousand 165 accumulated positive cases, 99 intubated patients, 3 thousand 962 deaths due to this disease, and at least 17 thousand 199 patients have recovered from it.
With these numbers, and after nine days after the Halloween celebration, the Secretary of Health said that "the October 31st effect" is already being observed.
