The Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico revealed the COVID-19 cases update in Baja California this Saturday, September 5, where he informed that 568 cases remain active in the state, of which 232 are located in Tijuana.

This not only places the border city at the top of the list with respect to these cases, but from yesterday (September 4) to today, it increased to 19 active cases (from 213 to 232).

Meanwhile, of the 17 thousand 455 confirmed cases accumulated in the region Mexicali continues to be the municipality with the highest number of these cases, with 8 thousand 277 of the total at the state level, and where 51 new cases were registered.

However, although 5 thousand 448 belong to Tijuana, this city reported 60 new cases, placing it as the municipality that reported the highest number of these cases.

Unfortunately, 3 thousand 206 Baja California lost their lives because of this virus, most of them from Mexicali, where one thousand 467 of them were registered, and at least one thousand 296 were residents of Tijuana.

In the case of those recovered, 10 thousand and 38 have managed to fight the battle against COVID-19.
