I confirm that tomorrow 1.3 million doses of the Jannsen vaccine, manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, will arrive from the United States. This will allow the vaccination of people between 18 and 39 years of age to begin in the municipalities along the border with the United States.

For his part, the head of the Secretariat of Health in Baja California, Alonso Pérez Rico, commented on Monday that the vaccine, which is expected to advance in the removal of restrictions at border crossings between Mexico and the United States, could arrive between Wednesday and Thursday of this week in the region.
"The issue with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine coming to Mexico is that there is an extensive bureaucratic process that is being carried out, but this week, what we have of information, is that it is released".
In addition, he assured that regardless of the day it arrives, the day after its arrival it will be applied to people between 18 and 39 years of age in Tijuana, Mexicali, Tecate and Ensenada.
When questioned about which vaccine will be applied to this same population, but once the U.S. vaccine runs out, he said that although there will be other options, it will depend on the vaccine sent by the federal government.
If you live in Baja California and fall within this age range, but have not yet registered to receive the drug, you can register on the state page, by clicking here, or on the federal page by clicking here.
