A Gateway To The Heart Of Baja California

Governor Marina del Pilar described the terminal as a promise fulfilled from her election campaign, calling it a turning point for connectivity and tourism development in the region.

“This terminal is a gateway to the heart of Baja California. A modern, safe, and functional space that will allow thousands of visitors to arrive comfortably, with dignity, safely, and directly to Valle de Guadalupe,” the governor said.

She extended her gratitude to the various agencies involved in the project, including Sidurt, SICT, and IMOS, as well as the National Chamber of Passenger and Tourism Transport. The collaboration of Ensenada’s city council and the participating transport companies was also key to bringing the project to life.

Professionalizing Transport And Service

Alejandro Arregui Ibarra, the state’s Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, noted that the new terminal brings an opportunity to professionalize the entire tourism service experience.

To that end, the state has partnered with the Secretariat of Tourism to develop certification programs for tourism service providers, including drivers.

He added that 90% of tourists visiting the valley arrive by land, which makes it essential for transport providers to receive training in both road safety and hospitality.

That’s why the region will now feature certified drivers and tourism promoters accredited by the Conocer network, the national body responsible for labor skills certification, to ensure visitors receive the highest standard of service.
