TIJUANA – 17-year-old Adal Mundo turned himself in to Tijuana authorities last night after a video uploaded to Facebook, showed him and others humiliating and torturing a homeless person in public at night. He can be seen threatening a man with an object resembling a handgun while forcing him to make a series of homophobic remarks, taking his clothes off and lastly putting out his cigarette on the victim's chest.

The video quickly went viral, and soon enough Anonymous Mexico got wind of it and threatened the minor with an ultimatum.

The teen turned himself in to the local authorities after threats were made on both him and his family from Anonymous. Thousands have also flooded social media to express their outrage and indignation.

"You have 48 hours to turn yourself in to authorities. In that same period, you must find the homeless person, kneel before him and ask for forgiveness, this must be filmed, uploaded and shared on your Facebook profile, otherwise we will start a persecution were the Mexican people who are outraged by your actions will punish and judge you for your actions", stated Anonymous Mexico.

The minor stated in an audio recording that his actions were his own and that no one had asked him to do it.

An employee at the Deputy Attorney General's Office of Tijuana said that Adal Mundo was "hiding and he left home because he was scared someone would do something to him." Due to Adal being 17 years old, the investigation was handed over to the Minors Public Prosecutor's Office.

Before this, Juan Carlos Rangel Rodriguez, the victim, testified to the Public Prosecutor Office and detailed how he was tortured, "I was being threatened with an object which I thought was a weapon", he also stated he had been drinking alcohol, reason why he was more vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Carmen Rodriguez, mother of the minor, asked the local authorities for protection since they were exposed by Anonymous, had their Facebook accounts hacked and some phone numbers stolen and even received death threats.

Which is why Carmen is holding the hacker group accountable in case her son's life is put in jeopardy.
