TIJUANA – The matched between Club America and Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles at the Estadio Azteca that was scheduled for the 27th of this month has been postponed to a date to be determined announced today the Tijuana Xolos through a press release.

On Saturday following the San Diego Clasico, Club America president Ricardo Pelaez explained to members of the press that his team was looking to have week one match against Tigres and week two match against Tijuana Xolos postponed because"we have five players on the Mexican National Team participating in the Gold Cup".

Currently with the Mexican National Team: Raul Jimenez, Juan Carlos Valenzuela, Moises Muñoz, Miguel Layun, and Adrian Aldrete.

Pelaez assured everyone that the games would be made up as soon as possible since the calender of games in Mexico is tight due to league games, Copa MX games, and CONCACAF Champion's League games.

After suffering a 5-2 loss to the Xolos, Club America will have to wait longer to get a chance at revenge against the border town dogs.

For now Tijuana Xolos will have three consecutive weeks to work at home while playing four games in a row at the Estadio Caliente. On July 10 against Correcaminos, on July 13 against Dorados de Sinaloa, on July 19 (Week 1 of Liga MX) against Atlas, and on July 30 (Week 3 of Liga MX) against Pachuca.
