Tijuana ranks among the most visited cities year round, offering visitors a blend of urban energy, tranquil parks, and refreshing coastal breezes, all thanks to its strategic location in the border region.
This thriving tourism sector has led the city to host some of the best hotel complexes, and in 2026, the Westin Hotel Tijuana will add a new level of accommodation and entertainment.
Westin Hotel Tijuana: Unmatched Luxury and Entertainment
New details about this hotel were revealed at the 49th Tourism Tianguis, currently taking place in Baja California.
According to the latest information, the Westin Tijuana will feature:
- 62,600 square meters of total construction
- 2,500 square meters for entertainment spaces
- 17,500 square meters dedicated to hotel accommodations
- 15,000 square meters for office spaces
- 25,200 square meters of parking

Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda was present for the announcement, underscoring the importance of tourism as a major economic contributor for both Tijuana and the entire state.

Elegance and Sophistication
Photographs shared during the event reveal the hotel’s elegant interiors, with its modern style and sophisticated atmosphere that promises a top-tier experience for guests.

The hotel will be in the heart of the city, on Agua Caliente Boulevard (where a Soriana supermarket once stood, across from Paseo Chapultepec). Developed by Grupo Favier, the project was confirmed in March and involves a $150 million investment.

This modern and luxurious hotel will join the Westin brand, which has 239 locations worldwide, and is set to open in summer 2026.
