TIJUANA/SAN DIEGO.- Tijuana may not be as populous as Mexico City, nevertheless, there is always something to do at this "corner of the world" as Mexicans call it. Artists and local promoters are constantly seeking ways to keep their followers entertained with different events that revolve around the city's night life.



Craft beer and independent music lovers, as well as activists and general public, will have many thing to choose from this weekend. Let's not forget that this Sunday is also Father's Day, so maybe you want to invite him to one of the following events:



Friday, June 19th



Cachonda Brown Porter Coco at Paralelo 28

Makers of 'Cachonda', a brewing house in Ensenada, invite you to taste their newest proposal made in collaboration with Tijuana natives' Paralelo 28. This is a new beer with a Brown Porter Coco style, which was prepared for the Summer Beer Fest 2015. Be one of the first to discover its flavor by trying it in Tijuana this Friday.

All My Friends in Rosarito

You probably already have your tickets, since it's been promoted for months. However, this independent music fest organized by Nrmal, couldn't be left out.



Starting on Friday and ending on Sunday June 21st, this event will have the presence of artists such as Benfika, Niño Árbol, La Femme, 424, Protistas and Other Bodies. Although music is the main focus of the event, All My Friends will also have many artistic and culinary attractions, most importantly, this is the second time the event takes place in Rosarito, by the beach.




Where? Hotel Castillo del Mar in Rosarito
What time? With the exception of Friday, this event runs for 48 hours

Saturday June 20th



Spiral Out Tool Tribute

We don't know when Tool will be back in San Diego, but in the meantime, all fans of this band can go watch the Californian group, Spiral Out, which will be playing tribute to it alongside to guest bands, Quarto Banda and Kryptex, which will be performing alternative and progressive rock respectively.

Fairy Festival

Popular beliefs say that fairies are small and magical creatures that live among forest and gardens, taking care of flowers and plants.



To honor them, the San Diego Botanic Garden has prepared a festival, requesting all kids to dress up as these authentic characters. Here, they will learn to build houses, treasures and leave messages in ' the wish bush' as well as being able to by fairy inspired articles.

Air Show in San Diego

In order to commemorate 70 years of the United States success in World War II, a special air show will take place featuring aircraft from the era, which will perform different air maneuvers.

"Slut Walk"

Like they do every year, the "Slut Walk" (Marcha de las Putas) will take place on Sunday, starting at 4.00pm starting from the monument known as 'Las Tijeras'. This is event is part of a collective effort to liberate and empower women in order for them to live without fear of their bodies, specially when being part of a macho society where they are constantly labeled as 'sluts' for enjoying their sexuality at its fullest.
