María Elvia de Hank, wife of former Tijuana Mayor, Jorge Hank Rhon and president of the "Por Ayudar" Foundation passed away in the early hours of this Saturday as a consequence of the cancer she had long battled.
She had recently received a bone marrow transplant among other type of treatment.
The information was confirmed by her spokeswoman Martina Martínez in a press release. The wake will be held at 6pm at the González Funerary on Tijuana's 6th Street.
The PRI's federal officer María Elvia de Hank, of 57 years of age was the wife of businessman Jorge Hank Rhon. She was president of the Integral Family Development Institute of Tijuana (DIF) from 2004 to 2007.
After the federal elections of July, she was appointed as federal representative by plurinominal vote.
