In response to the recent health alert announced by the State Department, which states that all airline passengers going to the United States will be asked to provide a negative COVID-19 viral test, the Cross Border Xpress (CBX), a pedestrian bridge exclusively for crossing the border, announced whether this measure will affect those who travel across it.
Through a tweet it was informed that this crossing will not request a negative COVID-19 test, however, it is recalled that restrictions for non-U.S. citizens and non-residents regarding travel considered "non-essential" still continue.
A few days ago, it was revealed that starting January 26, all persons two years of age and older who plan to travel on airlines to the United States will be required to present a test to confirm that they are free of the virus.
This must be taken within three days of travel or provide a positive test result and documentation from a licensed health care provider or public health official that they have recovered from COVID-19 within 90 days prior to travel.
