"In many indigenous communities in southern Mexico, this practice of selling daughters is still prevalent," says Street Brigade about this publication.

"Most are teenagers whose parents sell or give them away as domestic workers to families nearby cities. Many of them fall into sexual slavery networks, "they explain.
In this publication, the reader will find colorful, raw, and to the point stories that show the suffering of these human trafficking and slave labor victims.
The full comic can be found here.

The Street Brigade from the Federal District in Mexico has been helping prostitutes for over 20 years in the La Merced neighborhood. They provide aid to these victims through psychological, health and literacy programs.
This is not the first publication of its kind to come to light, along with this one are also "Mariposas Nocturnas" (Moths), which tells stories by using metaphors. It's sort of a fairy tale where girls who are in a financial hardship, are then recruited to be sex slaves and how to they were helped to get out of that situation.
"Familias de Pesadillas" (nightmare families), narrates a story of a family of "pimps" from Tlaxcala who tricks girls into taking them to America where they are victims of sexual exploitation.
"Flor Silvestre" (wildflowers), speaks of a group of orphans who seek to lead a different life outside the networks of child sexual exploitation in which they are trapped in.
All of these comics are based on true stories.
