The Warriors (Gerrereros) of Mexico will face the Astana Arlans of Kazakhstan in the semifinals of the World Series of Boxing, which will be held in the "Zocalo" in Mexico City.
The celebration at the "Zocalo"-Mexico's main public square- is expected to attract several thousand fans to the Mexican capital. Mexico on the other hand will travel to their visiting rival's hometown next week for the second leg of the semifinal matches.
The local government of Mexico City announced that it will support the event, in which the country will be represented by some of their best fighters so far in this series like Elias Emigdio, Marvin Cabrera and Gerardo Bisbal.
This will be a rematch after Kazakhstan beat the Mexican team last year in the quarterfinals.
The winner between Mexico and Kazakhstan will contend for the world title against the best between Dolce & Gabbana of Italy and the Otamas from Ukraine.
