At minute 15, Duvier Riascos centered a pass to Joe Corona, who scored a goal, making it 1-0, to the delight of the sold-out crowd at Caliente Stadium.
Tolucas Iván Alonso, who leads the league in goals, pushed that total to nine, when he tied the game at minute 24.
The Xolos now have 13 points, good enough for 8th place in the general standings, and good enough to qualify for post-season play if season ended Saturday.
Toluca, which now has 14 points, is in 4th place in the general standings.
The tie capped a good week for the Xolos, which won Wednesday night in San Diego in a friendly match against Chivas USA.
