Xolos de Tijuana and San Diego FC will headline the Baja Cup 2025, a cross-border friendly tournament designed to celebrate the cultural closeness of the two neighboring cities.
The historic matchup will take place on Tuesday, September 16, at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Pacific / 9:00 p.m. Central Mexico time.
To mark Mexico’s Independence Day, the event will go beyond soccer, featuring mariachi performances, folkloric dances, and family activities. Fans can follow the action live through the official channels and digital platforms of both clubs.
Beyond the Match: Community Events
The Baja Cup is more than just a game. Leading up to the match, players from both teams participated in a community event in Playas de Tijuana, while San Diego hosted a youth tournament with more than 250 young athletes across 30 teams.
The winner of Tuesday’s contest will lift the Baja Cup trophy, which will remain with the champion until the next edition. The tournament’s official logo highlights the binational spirit by incorporating two iconic landmarks: the Coronado Bridge of San Diego and the Tijuana Arch.
