Many children, (and adults) always try to find ways to skip going to church on Sundays, because who really wants to get up early on a Sunday morning and put on their finest clothes?
Well because of these reasons, 11 year old David Ezequiel decided to kidnap himself to avoid going to church on Sunday. This happened last Sunday when David was on his way to church, when he realized that he was late he decided to make something up so his mother wouldn't yell at him, and for some reason he thought the best excuse would be to fake a kidnapping.
Hours later when he got home, he told his parents the horrific story about how three men and a woman grabbed him and got him into a van, tied him up, and for over an hour he was under their "care", and in a moment of opportunity he escaped and made it back home.
David thought that it would end there, he was spared a scalding by his parents, and he didn't go to church, he was wrong, Isela Rosas Gonzalez, his mother decided to report it to the authorities, and a thorough investigation got underway.
The news spread quickly around the neighborhood and social media, causing the locals to panics, many parents preferred to keep their children at home rather than send them to school and didn't let them out of the house, it's better to be safe than sorry.
When authorities noticed the inconsistencies in Davids story, they realized it was fake, and took the young boy and his parents before the media so they could clear everything up.
Hector Javier Garcia Villareal, director of Public Safety, Warned the young boy that these types of stories should never be used as excuses to get out of church, and gifted him a video game console to ease the strong lecturing he received.
It seems that young David was scalded after all. If your child did something similar, what type of punishment would you think he'd deserve?
