This October, Playas de Rosarito is getting ready to experience a Month of Horror with a packed calendar of events designed for visitors and residents of all ages. Whether you’re seeking Halloween thrills, a cultural experience, or a day out with the family, and even your pets, Rosarito has an event for you!

Here’s a look at the standout events you won’t want to miss this month, courtesy of COTUCO Rosarito.

“Trick or Run”

For those looking to combine fitness with Halloween festivities, the “Trick or Run” event is the perfect fit. This unique night race requires participants to put on their best costumes as they take on either a 3 km or 5 km route, starting and finishing at the Parque Metropolitano.

Scheduled for 7:00 PM, the race is open to the public and is pet-friendly, making it an ideal Halloween outing for the whole family.

Registration, priced at 250 pesos ($13 USD), guarantees all participants a commemorative medal, with additional prizes for the best costume.

Top finishers in the 5 km race will also compete for cash prizes of 2,000, 1,000, and 500 pesos ($107 USD, $54 USD, and $27 USD) for first, second, and third place, respectively.

24th October Festival: Territories of Peace

The iconic “October Festival: Territories of Peace” is already underway, transforming the city into a cultural hub through November 8th. This year’s edition features a diverse program of art and music, extending beyond the municipalities of Tijuana, Ensenada, Rosarito, Mexicali, San Quintín, and San Felipe to include collaborations with entities from Durango, Puebla, Veracruz, and even Los Angeles, California.

A highlight of the festival is the interdisciplinary event “Color and Identity,” set for this Saturday, October 11th, at 7:00 PM at CEART Playas de Rosarito. The event is free and open to the public, though it is recommended for ages 10 and up.

Bartender Festival 2025

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 19th, for the second edition of the Festival del Cantinero (Bartender Festival). Hosted at Restaurante Hacienda KM 43, this event promises a relaxed atmosphere, quality drinks, and live music from “The Bebedoors.”

The main attraction is the emblematic “Bartender Contest,” where attendees can cheer on their favorite mixologists. The event runs from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a cover charge of 200 pesos ($11 USD). Organizers remind guests to drink responsibly and arrange for a safe ride home.

“Canela con Causa” Cycling Circuit

On Sunday, October 19th, fitness enthusiasts can get active for a great cause at the “Canela con Causa” Cycling Circuit. Held at the Baja California Center, the event encourages participants to “Pedal for Life” in support of the fight against breast cancer.
