For those interested in capturing the magic themselves, hands-on night photography sessions will teach participants how to photograph the star-filled sky using anything from professional cameras to smartphones.

Star Party and Nighttime Viewing

The evening’s most anticipated event, the “Star Party,” kicks off at 8:00 PM. Astronomers will be on hand to offer telescope views and lead guided tours of the night sky. Organizers recommend bringing binoculars to enhance the experience.

The Santa Ysabel Nature Center, located in eastern San Diego County, provides an ideal setting for astronomical observation thanks to its minimal light pollution.
