PUEBLA - Club Tijuana continue their marathon of four games within eight days with a visit to Puebla in the local Liga Bancomer MX. Xolos will be looking for their first three points on the road to keep their playoffs bid alive. So far this season the Xoloitzcuintles have totaled three losses and one draw in their four away games.

The match Puebla vs Club Tijuana for the 12th week of the Apertura season of Liga Bancomer MX is scheduled for Sunday September 29 at 12:00PM local time (10:00AM pacific time) from the Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla, Puebla.

Xolos are currently sitting in 11th place in the table with 13 points; four points away from Cruz Azul who are in 8th place on 17 points. Tijuana can’t afford to drop many more points or they’ll find themselves in a hole for the last part of the regular season.

Puebla are in 13th place only one point behind the Xolos and if they can manage to string together a few wins they’ll be in the race for the playoffs as well. This game against Tijuana will be a huge test for Puebla and an opportunity to overtake a team standing in their way to a playoff spot.

Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles will be coming into this game on the back of the biggest win in club history after defeating Club Deportivo Victoria 6-0 at home in the CONCACAF Champion’s League. A game which marked the official debut of Herculez Gomez with the team who netted himself a ‘Hat-Trick’ in the 45 minutes of playing time he received. Due to Dario Benedetto’s newest injury Gomez might see some playing time, but the management might want to also be careful with Gomez and only use him little by little in order to avoid any further injuries.

Tijuana will have to face this game without the person who many consider the best holding midfield player in the Mexican league; Cristian Pellerano who will be serving a one match suspension due to yellow card accumulation. Pellerano was among the only starters to play on Thursday night in the CCL due to the fact he will see no action on Sunday in Puebla. The Argentine midfielder will be ready to return on Tuesday when the Xolos face their week 2 make up game against the reigning champions Club America at the Estadio Azteca.
