Rosarito is preparing to put everything that makes it unique under one roof. On June 25, the inaugural Expo Destino Rosarito Extraordinario will bring together local businesses, tourism operators and cultural organizations for a one-day event celebrating the experiences that have helped make the city one of Baja California’s top travel hotspots.
Hosted by Rosarito’s Tourism and Convention Committee (COTUCO) at Hotel Castillos del Mar, the expo is designed to introduce both residents and visitors to the region’s diverse tourism offerings, ranging from gastronomy and wine to ecotourism, wellness and outdoor adventure.

Four experiences inspired by Rosarito
Rather than a traditional trade show, organizers have divided the event into four themed spaces that highlight different aspects of the destination.
The Ritual of the Sea: Origins and Ocean
Visitors will explore Rosarito’s connection to the ocean through exhibits featuring sport fishing equipment, jet skis, scuba gear, kayaks and surfboards.
One of the day’s signature attractions will feature a fisherman arriving with a freshly caught bluefin tuna, followed by a live tuna carving demonstration performed by a guest chef.
Fire, Malt and Tradition: Smoke and Heritage
This section celebrates Baja California’s ranching and culinary traditions.
Guests can sample spit-roasted suckling pig and wood-smoked barbecue while enjoying horse exhibitions, roping demonstrations and pony rides for children.
The area will also feature blacksmithing and woodworking demonstrations, handcrafted furniture displays and exhibits highlighting Indigenous communities through traditional baskets, jewelry and medicinal practices.
The Pulse of the Earth: Adventure and Alchemy
Outdoor enthusiasts will find displays dedicated to off-road vehicles, paragliding, hiking equipment and luxury glamping installations complete with oversized tipis.
As the sun sets, visitors can gather around controlled bonfires while enjoying coffee and live music during a special “Sunset Ritual.”
Several of Rosarito’s best-known restaurants will also present cocktail demonstrations featuring ingredients sourced from both the mountains and the sea.
The Luxury of the Moment: Hidden Sanctuary
The final experience focuses on Rosarito’s upscale tourism offerings.
Visitors can sample wines from Baja California in the El Valle en La Playa tasting space while exploring wedding venues, romance tourism services and oceanfront real estate developments.
Organizers say the concept is designed to showcase Rosarito as a city full of surprises and wonder for the whole family.
