Few food destinations in Baja California are as iconic as La Guerrerense.

What began as a humble seafood cart in Ensenada has grown into one of Mexico’s most celebrated street food institutions, attracting visitors from around the world and earning praise from some of the biggest names in gastronomy.

Among its most notable recognitions, the stand was included by chef Anthony Bourdain among his 101 best places to eat in the world, and currently holds a Bib Gourmand distinction from the Michelin Guide.

Now, La Guerrerense is taking a taste of Ensenada to Mexico City through a new collaboration with the St. Regis Hotel, where it will showcase a selection of its signature seafood creations throughout a month-long culinary event.

Three dishes created exclusively for the event

For the occasion, La Guerrerense has developed three special dishes that will make their debut in Mexico City: the Aguachile Negro, Ceviche Tropical, and Marianne Tostada with bluefin tuna.

Guests will also be able to sample some of the stand’s most popular specialties, including its Campechano cocktail, Singapore Tostada and sea urchin/clam tostada.

The festival will take place at the Diana Restaurant inside the St. Regis, bringing together the flavors of Ensenada’s seafood culture with the culinary vision of Chef Diego Niño.

In addition to La Guerrerense’s seafood offerings, the menu will feature a variety of Mexican classics reimagined through Niño’s contemporary approach, including potato flautas with chorizo, rib-eye tlacoyos, cochinita pibil tacos and other creations.
