Young surfers from across Baja California can head to La Fonda Beach in Rosarito on July 18–19 for the 2026 CSTM Groms Festival & Surf Tournament Series, a youth-focused event that blends surfing, mentorship and community activities.
Organized by Christian Surf Team México (CSTM), the festival is designed to introduce children and teenagers to surfing while providing a positive environment centered on mentorship, personal development and outdoor recreation.
Surf lessons, camping and community events

The weekend will feature surf competitions alongside a variety of activities for participants ages 6 to 19, including beach camping, an outdoor movie night, live music, brand activations and community gatherings.
One of the festival’s highlights is a program offering free surf lessons to 50 children, taught by instructors from five local surf schools. Organizers are seeking sponsors to help cover participation costs so every child selected can attend at no charge.
Three-stop tournament across Baja California

The Groms Series consists of three events throughout the year. The opening competition takes place in Alisitos, Rosarito, followed by a second stop at Playa Hermosa in Ensenada on Sept. 26–27, before concluding with the championship finals at the Rosarito Pier on Nov. 28–29.
Beyond the competition itself, organizers say the series is intended to encourage healthy lifestyles and create opportunities for young people through sports and mentorship.
