After more than two decades of waiting, over 3,000 residents of Valle Dorado are finally set to benefit from a new sanitary sewer system by the State Commission of Public Services of Tijuana (CESPT).
Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda and CESPT General Director Mónica Vega Aguirre recently toured the community to assess progress on the project, accompanied by local residents.

With an investment exceeding 15 million pesos, the project includes the installation of over 7 kilometers of sanitary piping, 110 manholes, and 830 household connections.
Governor Marina del Pilar underscored the importance of channeling public funds into projects that address fundamental needs and deliver tangible improvements to daily life.
This infrastructure will bring approximately 800 homes into the municipal sewer system, ensuring proper wastewater flow and improving sanitation conditions for families.

“After two decades of waiting, we are finally answering a long-standing call from Valle Dorado families. This network will provide them with an essential service that directly enhances their health and quality of life,” CESPT General Director Mónica Vega Aguirre said.
The project is being carried out under the Drinking Water, Drainage, and Treatment Program (PROAGUA), with funding from both federal and state sources aimed at expanding sanitary sewer coverage across the region.
