A new 24/7 ambulance service is now up and running in the Santa Fe neighborhood, promising faster emergency response times for residents who have long waited for care closer to home.
The service, launched Monday by the Municipal Civil Protection Directorate under Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, will operate around the clock, seven days a week to strengthen emergency response.
According to Municipal Government Secretary Arnulfo Guerrero León, the ambulance will be based out of Fire Station Number 12. The location was chosen strategically to ensure timely care and cut down on response times.

Guerrero León explained that the new vehicle fulfills a promise Mayor Ismael Burgueño made after sitting down with residents of the neighborhood. During that meeting, families made it clear that they urgently needed an ambulance for their area.
José Luis Jiménez González, the Municipal Director of Civil Protection, confirmed that the ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to jump into action the moment an emergency call comes in from the area.
The Tijuana City Hall says it remains committed to keeping an open dialogue with the community and coordinating closely with all government departments to make sure the people’s needs are met.
