Mayor Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado personally supervised ongoing paving works on Ignacio Aldama Street in the Mariano Matamoros Norte neighborhood, a project expected to significantly improve transit conditions for more than 16,700 residents in the La Presa A.L.R. district.

During an on-site inspection, the mayor emphasized that the project directly answers repeated calls from local residents for safer roadways.

“We are proud to deliver another project for the East Zone, particularly here on this street, where we have responded directly to citizen input,” he stated.

The undertaking is financed through federal resources allocated for additional priority works across Tijuana’s communities.

According to Virginia Vargas González, Secretary of Territorial and Urban Development, the project covers Ignacio Aldama Street between Antonio Nava Street and Hermenegildo Galeana Boulevard.

The work includes the construction of 1,583 square meters of hydraulic concrete pavement, 325 linear meters of curb, and 788 square meters of new sidewalks. In addition, 180 linear meters of the existing PVC potable water line have been replaced.

“The total investment for the project amounts to 5,380,911 pesos. With these efforts, we are strengthening road infrastructure and tackling one of the community’s urgent needs,” Vargas González added.
