La Estación Farmers Market - This Sunday in Tijuana

Hosted by Estación Federal - A New Integrative Space

TIJUANA. - This Sunday, November 29th, a Farmers Market will take place at Estación Federal, a new integrative space in Tijuana that is set to open up in July 2016. The event will give visitors a first glance of what will be Tijuana's newest coworking and loft space, located right where the pedestrian entry to Tijuana funnels in.

A variety of stalls will be set up, including local fruit and vegetable vendors, popular food trucks, local artists, wine, craft beer, and live music.

The Estación Federal project aims to fill the void that was left in the city after the demolition of HUB STN — but this time incorporationg living accomodations as well as work space.

Centro Ventures, the developer behind the project, aims to turn it into an integrative space where people can live, work, and also have access to amenities such as restaurants, bars, laundry service, a gym, and even an art gallery within the same space. The location is also close to Tijuana's food and cultural zone.

With San Diego just a stone's throw away, the space also aims to leverage the cross-border advantage and attract a new generation of creatives that want to be based in Tijuana, yet remain close to the U.S. The developer is also promoting urban ideals such as bike lanes and green spaces. Part of this concept includes hosting community events and fairs such as the upcoming Farmers Market.

The event is free and open to the public. Estación Federal is located at 271 Jose Maria Larroque street, Colonia Empleados Federales , CP. 22010. The event will take place from 10am to 4pm. For more information, follow the event on Facebook.
