A shooting took place this early Monday morning at the nightclub "Blue Parrot" in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, while the BPM music festival was carried out.

According to a report from CNN, this attack left at least five dead and 12 wounded. Four were men and the other was a woman.

On the other hand, Sin Embargo reports that there are 15 injured and one of them is in serious condition.

Miguel Angel Pech Cen, Attorney General of the state of Quintana Roo, said that there were four detainees but did not add further details.

Other versions say that the organizer of the event was the one who died and the wounded were the result of the stampede that occurred after having heard the shots.
