8 Events To "Snap Out of It" This Weekend in Tijuana

Another month is about to end, but fun isn't, so you better try to make the most out of the last days of July! And what a better city to do that than in Tijuana .

Here are some events options the city offers us this weekend:

Thursday July 27

1.- Sur a Norte Festival

From Thursday, July 27 to Sunday, July 30 will be held the Sur a Norte Festival, where you will find food stands, workshops, dance shows and representative music from Baja California, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Jalisco. You will also be able to try the "Jefes de Jefes" tacos.

2.- Fuck To Kong Jam

This is a special event of Tijuana Vive la Música, where money will be raised for artistic scholarships for children through the tickets purchased by attendees. Sponsored in part by SkyRoom, your ticket will also allow you to participate in a giveaway of a Gibson guitar and other articles donated by sponsors such as "I Love 664".

Friday July 28

3.- Bigmoon drive-in theater opening week

This Tuesday was the official opening of the Bigmoon drive-in theater in Tijuana, which will have a schedule from Tuesday to Sunday with two showings per day, except Thursday (feature films), and Friday and Saturday (three showings).

Where? In front of Parque Morelos
Time: 7: 45 pm, 10:00 pm and 12:00 pm

4.- Tijuana Rock Show 2017

If you are looking for a night of rock and beer you are in the right place, enjoy a great night with local talent at Tijuana Rock Show organized by Urban Productions.

5.- 90s Pop Tour

This will be the ideal event to take out the teenager you have inside and go back to the 90s mexican pop music with artists such OV7, Aleks Syntek, JNS, Caló, Fey, Litzy, Erik Rubín and The Sacados.

6.-MCCON 2017

This year, the largest Convention of Collectibles in the world of Marvel, DC, and more, is back! This time there will be 130 stands of which 65 stands will be only of collection exhibition.

In commemoration of Batman, this year, the MCCON will have an special exhibition of the Batcave, where you will be able to take pictures and admire figures, costumes, weapons and much more. Expect illustrators, workshops, photography, make-up, music groups, Cosplay contests, car show, sales area, food and others.

7.-Playas de Tijuana 9th Summer Festival

Next Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, you will be able to go to the Malecon of Playas de Tijuana to enjoy the ninth edition of this festival, where you will find live music, bikini contest, flag tournament, surf contest, volleyball tournament and a soccer field with obstacles.

Sunday July 30

8.- Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark

The British band of synth pop and new wave, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (OMD), will be performing this weekend and you have to prepare yourself to listen them playing songs like "Secret", "If You Leave", "Electricity" Souvenir," and others.
