According to the Ministry of the Baja California Economic development (Sedeco), 22 representatives of Californian industries will visit Playas de Rosarito and Tecate on October 18 to try to work in conjunction with established companies in Baja California.

Baja California represents for US investors a great opportunity for business and promotion, as the industrial sector has great impact in the region.

The head of Sedeco, Carlo Bonfante Olache, said that this visit will be carried out during the commemoration of the Manufacturing Day, which represents an effort of the State Government and the International Trade Center of California to generate a rapprochement between suppliers , investors and promoters.

Representatives will go to different companies, including Hisense of Rosarito, and Temarry and Teleflex of Tecate. Interested American companies want to maintain a close relationship with the government and industrial organizations, and provide for the needs of the sector.

The initiative to hire foreign companies as suppliers is born because the state barely purchases 2% of them for manufacturing and production in the maquiladoras.
