It’s not easy having a healthy lifestyle, either because you work too much, you can’t cook or simply because you have an addiction to fast foods, or junk food, unfortunately eating a lot of fried foods cause be deadly.
A new study published on BMJ found that consuming fried foods is related to a higher risk of death for any cause in postmenopausal women.
Researchers used data from questionnaires to evaluate the diets of 106,966 women aged 50 to 79 that were followed 18 years until February 2017.
They observed how often they ate different fried foods such as tacos, potato chips, french fries, fried fish, fried chicken, fried fish, ffried seafood. During that time, 31,588 women died, heart problems caused 8,358 of those deaths, while 13,880 were due to other causes.
So think about twice next time you want to have that delicious piece of fried chicken.
