Tips if you are visiting Sierra San Pedro Mártir

The San Pedro Mártir National Park, informed through their Facebook account some precautions that visitors should take this season, since the snowfall can complicate their access.

In its publication, the low temperatures that are present in the area from November 2019 to January 2020 were highlighted, being a minimum of -5 ºC and the maximum of 5 ºC.

For this winter season, the access time to the park is from 7:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, with a cost of $ 72 mxn per person, per day of stay. While children under 6 and people with a disability are free to enter.

These are some precautions visitors should consider:

1. Notify family or friends of your plans to visit the Park since you will not have mobile phone communication services.

2. Check the weather before visiting the Park, especially in winter.

3. get supply of food, water and gasoline in the coastal zone before leaving, in the towns of San Vicente and San Telmo supplies are limited.

4. On the way to the Park drive with caution since the slope when climbing the Sierra is steep, it is recommended to constantly check the temperature of your vehicle and make stops if necessary.

5. In the snowy season, double traction vehicles are recommended, as well as checking black ice conditions (ice on the road) to avoid landslides and/or accidents.
